British singer/songwriter and pianist Tophy Dye taught himself to play piano at the age of 9, going on to study at Leeds Conservatoire. His self-penned debut album 'Skeletons' also co-produced by Dye was released at the end of 2021.

Stylistically, the album incorporates folk, rock, pop, jazz and classical styles with one track even featuring Gregorian chant. At the centre is Tophy's storytelling, his piano, and the stark and sometimes brave subject matter.

Dark coming of age track 'I Will Be Your Child Tonight' deals with sexual exploitation while pop track 'Marmalade', recently a club smash after being remixed by 7th Heaven, provides light musically to some of the darker parts of the album. Elsewhere, Tophy covers teenage crushes, homophobic bullying, bereavement, and relationships with honesty reminiscent of early Joni Mitchell or Tori Amos.

The 7th Heaven remixes of two of its singles led to two further collaborations, both entering the UK club charts, 'Cloudbusting' (#12) and 'The Last Comeback' (#9).

Tophy is currently working on a second album due for release in 2025.
